On Sunday morning we have two Senior Adults Bible classes. One meets at 10:30am in both Room 126 and the other meets in Room 127. Plus we have a Ladies class in Room 121 at 10:45am. Join us for coffee, food, fellowship and a lesson from the Bible.
From 7pm - 8:30pm on Wednesday nights, there is a Bible study in Room 127.
Social Activities:
Each month we have a luncheon, either a potluck or catered luncheon, in the Fellowship Hall or Small Auditorium. It’s a time to enjoy wonderful food but most importantly, enjoy great fellowship.
We also have day trip once a month, such as the Dallas World Aquarium, Federal Reserve Bank in Dallas, Ennis Bluebonnet Festival, Artisan Theater in Hurst or a Gospel Sing at Travis Avenue Baptist Church in Fort Worth.
A new event we’ve started is a quarterly presentation of “This is Your Life”. In March we honored Ralph Gunn as we heard about his life and saw his life in pictures. The program ended with stories from people whose lives were touched by Ralph. In May, we honored Charles and Yvonne Boldt - what a great couple - and what a blessing they are to our church and our lives.
We have a few big trips planned such as a week-long Alaskan Cruise that we went on in June; a 4-day trip to San
Antonio in September and a 6-day Branson, MO/Eureka Springs, AR trip in October.
Ministry Opportunities:
In May, we went to Pleasant Hills Children Home in Fairfield, Texas. We took a tour of the campus, but more importantly, we collected and delivered paper goods for the children home's use. We have decided to make PHCH our Young at Heart project by taking a quarterly offering to send to the children's home.
